Duncan Residential Districts – Wharncliffe Road
This bungalow at 733 Wharncliffe Road was designed and built circa 1927 by architect Douglas James for Claude Green and his wife Edna Green (nee Castley).

Douglas James also designed and built:
- 45 Craig Street (in 1922 for Harold Fairfax Prevost), now Just Jake’s Restaurant.
- 70 Government Street, built in 1922
- 40 Ingram Street (for the City of Duncan as a Fire Hall), now the Old Firehouse Wine Bar
- 211 Craig Street (in 1926 for James C. Wragg)
- 151-155 Craig Street (in 1929 for Hugh George Savage and his Cowichan Leader newspaper)
- 231 Government Street (in 1929 for Thomas Pitt), now Magnolia Accessories
Claude Green also built 145-149 Kenneth Street, now Volume One Books, in 1948.
