Downtown Duncan – Craig Street
The Adelborg Building at 261-269 Craig Street, between Kenneth Street and Ingram Street in downtown Duncan, is currently home to Studio One (261 Craig Street) and Saltspring Soapworks (269 Craig Street)
The Adelborg Building is one of the surviving examples of the early 20th century single story commercial buildings that were once very common in downtown Duncan. The City of Duncan records are vague about the original construction date of the Adelborg Building but there is some evidence that it dates from the 1930’s or before.

The name “Adelborg Building” is not a reference to the builder or original owner. It was applied to the building in the early 1980’s by Jorgen Adelborg, the building’s owner at that time.
